Kara Veldman is a Florida Pre-Licensed Professional Counselor at Palm Beach Behavioral Health and Wellness. Kara specializes in working with children and adolescents while providing support and resources for parents. Kara is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and animal-assisted therapy. She utilizes a client-centered approach and focuses on creating a safe space for children to feel welcomed and comfortable. Kara’s greatest joy is walking alongside families offering hope and support. Kara received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lee University in Tennessee and went on to earn a Master’s degree from Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Kara is also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina.
