Driven by natural empathy, curiosity, and emotional intelligence, Dr. Thomas has dedicated her career to supporting children, teens, and families - especially in the areas of minority and Black mental health. Whether she’s sharing a laugh with her teen clients, offering guidance rooted in compassion, or drawing inspiration from her daughters, Dr. Thomas brings heart, humor, and expertise to every session. Beyond the office, she enjoys prayer, true crime TV, and soaking in the ocean - always finding joy in the small moments of everyday life.

What inspired you to pursue a career in mental health?
Emotional intelligence, being an empath by nature, and curiosity.

What’s your favorite part of working at PBBHW?
Pam and my clients.

What do you love most about working with children, teens, or families?
Teens are hilarious.

What’s one self-care practice you never skip?
Prayer.

How do you unwind after a long day at work?
True crime TV.

What’s a fun fact about you most people don’t know?
I have a black belt in Taekwondo.

What motivates you on tough days?
My daughters.

Minority and Black mental health.

Do you prefer the beach or the mountains - and why?
The beach - I LOVE the ocean.

Taking my daughters to school.

They don’t need me to be perfect.

If you weren’t in this field, what would you be doing instead?
I would be a royal princess in another country or some kind of law enforcement like the FBI.
